Last week i put in a new battery after charging it in my bike. It started after the second try. I then road it to the gas station and fueled it up because i stored it empty(sat for like 6 months). 3 days later it was done raining and i go to try and start it and it would try to fire up but then nothing. Afew times it would run then immiediatly die(run for like a half second). Eventually i noticed the plug to my rear cylinder wasnt seated all the way down. I seated it and still nothing. Now the starter tries but no fire. My first guess was i flooded it bad but after a day of sitting nothing. Im gonna try charging the battery again and see if that does anything. any ideas?----Charged battery and still wont start. It did start for a half second then die. Could this be a fuel issue. Any advice would be appreciated.

Somethings to note:
Starter is turning the engine over
Fuel pump kicks on
Light and insterments turn on
Started fine a few days ago
Put new plugs in today

You did say it was running. Do you keep it outside in the rain? Do you have water in the gas and does it get in from the cap? Drain it in a can and look for water. That seems like the difference offhand. After a rain at work my 2000 M2 had a lot of water around the gas cap and I did not like it. Mine still works fine but the moisture still got into the tank when I refuelled. I think it is a bad design but as long as my bike runs I'm happy. You will figure it out I'm sure. Good luck. Bert

Spark plug wire insulation can deteriorate over time and bleed enough high voltage to cause starting and driveability issues. You might consider replacing them if you haven't already.

I had it stored in my enclosed tailer during the rain

Well i think the spark is good but i suspect the problem is fuel related.
Today i purchased a new fuel filter and i plan on pulling the injectors and cleaning them out. I took out the fuel pump to and the pre filter was garbage. It was similar to the state of the one in this thread http://sporttwin.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=2518/highl ight=fuel+pump.html .
Exept mine was in pieces(must have got sucked in the pump). It literally fell apart in my hands.

I did come up with a new idea. Im going to either make the fuel line longer or in stall a high pressure quick link in the fuel line so next time i need to remove the tank for some reson(ie. replace gaskets in rockers) it will be an easier task.
