so I had a sudden weird vibration, looked down and my oil light was on. I pulled over, waited 10 minutes, fired it up again and heard a bit of a grind. Not very loud, but didn't sound good. Shut her down, trailered home and found a little oil coming out of the oil pump housing.

I'm thinking something stopped turning, but this surprises me as I'm anal about oil changes and level. I haven't heard of this being very common so I thought I'd see what everyones opinions are.

Any news on what failed? That oil pump pinion gear (the one that drives the gear on the oil pump) was upgraded on 2006 and newer bikes.
