So, I'm considering an inner airbox chop or open airbox mod, but I have a question. Is anyone worried about taking in water if you get stuck outside in a rainstorm?

Are you going to leave the airbox cover on?

You have to run a lot of water through the engine before it's a problem. People actually squirt water into intakes to remove carbon deposits. I don't think you're going to suck in much rain.

What Jim said..it really isn't a problem. It isn't a bad idea to drill a small weep hole in the airbox floor at the back left corner so that water can't accumulate in the airbox. But as far as enough of it going down the stack to cause issues with the engine operation, it just isn't an issue.

Great, thanks for the input guys. I know i get stuck in some serious rain periodically, and I just wanted to check with the experts before i start chopping up the inner airbox cover.
