I have decided to change the handlebar switches on my 2000 M2 for the switches off a sportster (I don't like the indicator switch on the current setup I prefer left turn under left thumb and right turn under right thumb)The problem I have is that after changing over the wiring the turn lights will only flash for as long as I depress the switch, ie there is no latching of the system.
Any help would be appreciated as the harley switches are non-repairable so I cannot insert a latching switch into the mechanism

Maybe the flasher unit from a Sportster would work?
