Wanna build one with a blast engine.

Says it wont take an XB engine. Anybody make adapters to get the blast(carbed single XB9) engine to work.

Since dimensions on the XB motor are smaller than the tuber iirc it's probably more
a matter of motor mounts than dimensions on the XB motor. Doesn't the Blast motor
mount in a similar fashion?

Then again, the XB heads may be taller than the earlier heads, so that would still
rule out the Blast since it uses an XB style head.

I'd contact the manufacturer and find out why the XB motor won't fit.

Be careful posting about it though, some people on here FREAK about people using
Buells to make chopper out of.

I know, why screw up a perfectly good bike,

but all i have is a spare blast engine. Looks like a fun project.

If I worried about what people thought about my bikes, i would not have got a buell.

I have a hardtail chopper frame of early 70's vintage for an iron Sportster. I was thinking the same thing you're thinking: finding a Blast engine and having some bad fun, maybe going Bobber style.

I hope it pisses someone off! The whole point is to have something to ride with my 'other' friends. My buddy Killer has a '59 Panhead chopper with the words, "I HATE EVERYBODY" painted on his tank.

XB heads are not taller so no problem there.

Oh, crap... that is beautiful.

Here's the frame I have...

I don't have a clue who made it, but it's for an iron Sporty. I have a few of the springer parts but no springs. I thought about trading this frame away... I may still.

If I ever get a chance, though, I'd love to build a little Blast-Bob.

I like the Carolina Customs Lucky' model just fine. As goes for the little Blast Bob. That's a cool little sh!t! I bet someone could sell a ton of them! But not all tastes run concurrent. My initial intent for my X1 purchase was to use it for a Redneck Engineering 'Redneck Rocket' bobber project. I'm sure most of you've seen or heard of them. Nice frames! Wicked bikes using the entire donor driveline, whls, frt end, bars, cntrls... Although my 'donor' bike turned out to be too damned nice to batardize. Ferchrisakes, it's practically a new bike! Me thinks I'll just enjoy it for a while, a long while as is.

the company that built that bike is called 'crossroads performance' and make the adapter kit to use a blast motor in an 87+ XL custom rigid frame.
