you're kidding right?

If not, replace the perforated core with a solid tube and make it basically a straight pipe.

by straight pipe though you loose power, no?

I like the power curve the way it is now, just want louder.
I heard you can shorten the pipe to make it louder, what you guys think?

Any mods to the pipe will change the performance characteristics.

Usually for the worse.

These pipes are very similar to the cherry bombs we used to put on our cars in high school allready.
There isn't much to baffling to them.

Maybe changing the material used to pack the muffler would make it louder?

I certainly dont want to lose performance.

I'll look into the packing material. Whats in them now, so I dont buy the same thing?

Thanks Diablobrian!

the factory packing is a fine fiberglass matting/padding.

There is a stainless steel muffler packing on the market you could try.
Staintune used to sell it.

Needed to revive this topic.

Anyone know where to buy the stainless steel muffler packing?

Is there a guide anywhere on how to repack your exhaust?
