My XB12R now has 21,000km with hard use.

I wonder if it is a good idea to replace the parts that connect the engine to the frame (mounting system) like : rubber mounts, bolts, tie bars, etc.

I know that the swing arm is mounted on the vibrating engine. So if the mounting system has a problem (normal wear), will it affect the handling of the bike? Or will I just get some warning noise first?

Is there a chance some of these mounting parts failing due to the fatigue caused from the vibrations of the engine? Will this be a dangerous situation, causing the bike to loose its alignment and me suddenly crashing?

If something needs changing, will I get a strange feel from the bike (warning), like instability when leaning?

Sometimes I wonder if it is a good engineering solution for Buell to mount the swing arm of the bike to the highly vibrating HD engine. The engine can move relatively to the frame, so what happens with the ridgidity of the bike? Are the wheels aligned when the bike is pushed when cornering?
