Hello All! I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer for. I have an '01 Blast, with some scratches in the plastic fairing that covers the gas tank. The problem is the cover appears to have some sort of clear coat on it, which is peeling up around the scratches. Can I still clear this up with Novus, or do I need to try something else because of the clearcoat? I don't want to do the wrong thing and totally ruin the cover. Any help would be appreciated...

I don't believe that's there's a 'clearcoat', perse but more of a thin layer of film from manufacturing. It's just like polishing anything else. Start with something to get the scratches out then keep using finer and finer grades of product until glossiness returns. it'll take tons of elbow grease and probably won't ever be as good as new.

At least I was never able get get all the shine back!

You'll also probably get more of a response if you post under the 'Thumper Forum'.
