Author Message   Bhalili Posted on Sunday, April 08, 2007 - 07:11 pm:        hey buellers, i took my 2000 m2 into the shop for a tuneup and when i got it back after a couple of days, the paint underneath the plastic tank protector was bubbling. i'm afraid that the glue from the tank protector is eating through the paint/plastic tank. this happen to anyone else? why do you think this happens? any fixes or is it a new paint job? thanks.   Jimidan Posted on Monday, April 09, 2007 - 06:23 pm:        I would theorize that the tank protector is trapping the gasoline fumes out-gassing from under it and causing the paint to deteriorate, although I have never seen this before. Usually, this out-gassing is trapped under decals and causes them to bubble (see thread farther down the list under this "bodywork,..." heading.
