Can anyone educate me on how a 2001 sportster rear pulley can be machined to work on a 2001 X-1? Is the inner diameter of the pulley (near the hub) different or is the thickness of the pulley different?

Thanks,

Boiler

Ooh, where's that thread, somebody answered that question for me before.

Did you try the google search of this board?

I'll try to find it too.
As I recall he said the inner diameter had to be machined out by a 1/16" or something like that.

Jayvee,

Thanks for the reply. I did execute a search (using the search function) and I found a link that noted that the Sportster pulley required machining but it didn't provide any details.

Please, update if you are able to verify this data.
