So i have new set of bars on my cyclone and need grips because the original one was not re-usable. I have not yet taken off the throttle grip and am still unsure of how it even comes off. What is the story on traction grips with the throttle tube? How does it work? I want to throw on a set a skull grips and dont know if it can be done if it doesn't come with that throttle tube? thanks for the help. |

Int -- I'm not sure I understand your question -- when you get a pair of grips, the internal diameter is different on each grip -- the smaller ID goes on teh clutch side, the larger ID goes on the throttle tube -- except for a few sets (mostly dirtbike and race stuff) that come with the throttle tube build in, all you have to do is remove the old, slide on the new, and enjoy if you're not concerned about saving the existing grips, get a box cutter or similar, slice the old ones off and yer done if you DO want to save the old, spray some WD40 between the grip and bar (or throttle tube) and work a small screwdriver or similar tool between, loosening the grip cement (if any) . . . it's a bit of a pita, but they should come off easily that help? |

If you have compressed air handy, just jet some under the grips with a blow gun and the grips will come off easily. rt |
