Checked the sag on my 07 Ulysses. With the factory recommended preload I measured 2 1/16 sag with rider on the front. Pretty good for 6.5 total travel, I think the rule of thumb is to shoot for 1/3 the total. On the back I measured 2.5 with total travel of 6.4. Seemed too high so I rechecked the shock preload. When the adjuster is all the way out you have to screw it in a turn or so before there's any resistance. If I set the rear preload to the recommended amount but start counting when I feel resistance the sag with rider on the rear dropped to 2 1/8. Mo better. I'll give it a road test tomorrow.

Is there a sag spec in the owners manual?

I can't find one in the owner's or service manuals.
