I have a 07 XB9R with the stock pirelli Diablos. I checked the tire pressure today the rear was 32.5 Psi and the front was 30 Psi. This set up is from the dealer and I have not changed any pressure settings. This is my first street bike that I have owned so I cant really compare it to anything else but the handling seems great in turns. I tend to ride pretty aggressive when I find some good curvy roads. I know that a little change can go a far way. Like I said the bike handles very well but if the potential is there for even better handling bring it on!! Any reccomendations? And by the way the readings were taken while the tires were cold.

Those pressures are on the low side for normal road use. Modern tyres are pretty tolerant but you may get some unusual wear characteristics if you continue to run them low. Pirelli recommend 2.5 bar (36.2 psi) F and 2.6 bar (37.7 psi) R.

I run normal Diablo Corsas on my XB12R.

When the outside temp. was 12-20 Celsius I used 36psi front - 38psi rear (cold tires).

My bodyweight is around 95kg and the best suspension setting (ROAD USE) I found was:

Front preload = 4.5
Rear preload = 5

Front compression = 1,5
Rear compression = 0,625

Front rebound = 1,5
Rear rebound = 0,625

I was happy with the Corsas, up until I started pushing hard and getting high lean angles. At extreme angles the rear tire was running out of contact with the ground and I almost high-sided 3-4 times at the track.

Then I tried Dunlop 208RR, which I think worked better since they gave higher lean angles limit.

Just look at the Corsa tire and notice that is round, compared to a triangular Michelin Pilot Power or a Dunlop 208RR.
