I have an 07 XB9R Firebolt and was wondering if anyone has a Corbin seat? And if so hows the quality, comfort, and looks of it? From what I can tell on their web site they look pretty darn cool and seem like a 'quality based' company.

i can't speak for the firebolt seat, but i can tell you from experience that corbin seats are worth the money. had them on a sportster, a road king, a rigid shovel, and i've seen/sat on the one for xb lightning models. i want one.

the quality is top notch. the comfort.. don't know on the 'bolt. the looks are always top notch. they have a great warranty too, as far as i can remember.

there's ya one vote of confidence. : )

Imported a single corbin seat into the UK for my 04 sportster as Harley didn't make one at the time. It was excellent. Well worth the money. Very comfy.

What I found on my M2 is the Corbin seat is much harder than the stock; and has sort of corners on the front under the thighs, that are great for the highway, but a pain in canyon carving. It may be just for the M2, but to me this is sort of a Touring seat. Well suited (seated?) for a long stretch on the highway, but for just around town, or the twisties, I wound up leaving the stock seat on. Now the M2 takes about 30 seconds to switch seats, so having and using two is not a problem for me. I have since replaced the stock with the Buell Select seat, which is, to me a good compromise in between the stock seat and the Corbin. So far the Select Seat is the one I leave on my bike all the time. I rarely take trips over an hour though. If I were, I would use the Corbin, or if I need the backrest.

Corbin is a great company, fantastic product. The XBR seat does have a seam on the inner thigh which is uncomfortable if you hold on with your thighs a lot, once I relaxed a little it was very nice. They are much stiffer but seem to be more comfortable on long rides. I got it because it lowered the ride height by 1 1/2" which changed my posture. I'm happy with mine.
