I will appreciate a history lesson. On the older bikes, S2/S1, RS, RSS, RR1200, how many swingarms are interchangeable? Or should the question be: What are the differences?

Same question for front motor mounts.

There used to be a H-D after market book titled "What Fits What?" that covered interchangeability over models and years. And a similar book on Moto Guzzi. I hope this KV is the proper place to both ask the questions and store the answers for posterity.
Thanks.

On the S-1/S-2 these will all swap, just might run into slight differences in fender mounting bolt holes. The later alum arm will also bolt on the early bikes--S-1,M-2,S-3.Just not on the S-2 as the rear frame uprights will hit under hard bumps(I know from experience)
I know nothing regarding the earlier models.
The front motor/shock mounts all bolt up the same(again not refering to the RS and such)only difference being the shock length used.
