I have a 2007 xb12s with 500 miles and the rear brake has started squealing. Has anyone else had this problem and can you give any recommendations on how to remedy this problem. Thanks.

Remove pads, clean rotor and scrub pad faces on flat surface against 120 grit emory paper.

If you are grossly over-using the rear brake, you may have worn through one of the pads already but that seems unlikely. You'll be able to check this when you remove them for cleaning/abrasion.

Tslack, I have a 07 XB9R with about 600 miles on it and my rear brake just started "squealing" slightly. Its not horrible but I guess it is a bit annoying. I suppose ill have to heed the advice from your post!
