Maybe this topic has been covered, but I still must ask. WHY THE HELL AREN'T THERE ANY FACTORY HEATED GRIPS FOR THE ULY? I can put a set together with the kit from Dual-Star and new grips, but why should I on a bike of this nature. BMW, Triumph and Suzuki all understand the need for heated grips in this genre, then why not Buell?

Probably because there arn't a whole lot of winter hog riders. I know there are some but perhaps not enough to alter the statistic enough for the parent company (HD) to offer it as an option.

But after seeing what HD charges for a set of heated grips for the big twins I'm not sure I want them to offer it because it will surely be close to twice the $$ as the other options out there such as hot grips etc...

Maybe you think the Harley grips are expensive but let me tell you , they are worth every penny. I will never have another motorcycle without them.
I would not be surprised to see Buell offer them soon, hopefully they will release them at Daytona, I'll be looking for them and complaining if they're not there.

I'm sure they are worth it if you have the $$. You get what you pay for : )
I'm not knocking their quality, I've heard nothing but good things about them but I have noticed the price difference compared to similar devices during my long "heated grips" archive search.

I would love to see the Uly come pre wired for heated grips. I keep thinking that the empty opening on the right hand switch housing (where the right turn signal switch would be on an HD) would be a great spot for a small hi-lo switch.

I'm sure Buell could do it. I hope they'll do it. Then the Uly would be the absolute perfect street-sport-tour bike in my opinion.

It would also be worth the extra $$ : )

Install the Polly grip heaters. they work like a champ and are a very clean install. They insert into the handlebars.
