Li8ning:
Try contacting Zipper's Performance. They should have the tool you need.
www.zippersperformance.com.
You really need to tear the bottom end down. You could easily have bent con rods, metal in sump. Etc. Don't take the cheap way out. It will cost you more later.

Yep, it's already on the bench, but I want to get the cylinder down to the shop to see if it's going to hone out or if I have to bore it. I always wanted to take one of these apart, so it's now a project. :-) Thanks for the feedback!

Several companies make wrist pin tools ... JIMS, Motion Pro, etc. Much better than trying to drift it out, a whole lot safer on the rod bearings too.

they are a loose fit, should push out with one finger.

Should , but often don't , the wrist pin pushes a ridge of aluminum up against the retaining ring , this "burr" needs to be carefully scraped away before the pin can be removed . In my opinion , the OEM wrist pin is too short , allowing it to move axially , that , combined with a fairly long stroke and the natural "slop" in a roller bearing lower end all contribute to this condition. Some pistons have longer wrist pins with much less axial movement , these seem to lessen the displacement of aluminum in the wrist pin bores.

Call it an anomally or whatever , like this could be classed as an anomally too , um , maybe.

I made a variation of Jim's. My S3 with 38k miles had to be pressed out. New ones might come in and out with a finger push but not mine.
