After much debate on what if anything to do to my 0612R, I have decided I want a Translucid body set(Valencia)for my R. If anyone has any ideas on where to begin PLEASE chime in. ALL input will be taken constructively.

The only Valencia orange piece you can get will be the airbox cover. The flyscreen from the Lightning won't work on your Firebolt. I think Buell does make an orange "windshield" though (it may be amber to match the 12 wheels). You can order the a/b cover from any of the BadWeB sponsors. IRC, they run around $160 new.

BTW, Buell does not make the front fairing or rear tail in translucids.

Toona,
Thanks for the reply. I am aware that there are currently no translucid R parts avail. anywhere, I am also well aware of the rising cost of CF(seems like everybody has CF these days, kinda takes away the WOW factor for me). This is what makes it appealing to me. I am interested in finding someone familiar with this or a similar material/ and the necessary mold making for a likely one of a kind set. I was going to use white plastics, but its BEEN done a few times already. Going for the ONLY ONE look. Still, any help in this endeavor is appreciated. Thanks BadWebbers.

I started with the V.O. plastics and had them painted for my "one-off" set.

Now THAT is a paint job worthy of any Buell. Very nice. Any pics of them installed yet? First translucid plastics I've seen painted that retained some of the translucent appeal they have to start with.

Anybody got any pics of mix-n-match translucid parts on their R?

Toona... absolutely beautiful!

You ought to scare up one of the 9sx headlight "brushguards" and paint them up like they are hot from re-entry... maybe silver in the middle, going to black oxidized looking, then glowing red towards the edges....

Toona,
Very nice! How do you like the Conti's? The JetHot header looks great also.

Ridrx,
The Conti Road Attacks are a sweet tire. I've got around 4k on them, maybe 1/3-1/2 worn. Stick like glue in dry and wet. Highly recommend them. The JH header was a nice change, much cooler on my right leg. I bent the orig in a low side, so I had to replace it anyway. I got it from Al at American Sport Bike

Reep,
Thanks for the idea. I've seen that guard, but haven't made a decision whether I like them or not, this idea may push me over the edge.
