I want to order a Drummer tomorrow but I do not know what to order with it. I assume a K&N filter, which I think is only 25 bucks on American Sport Bike, and what else is needed? I have an 06 xb12r and am not the most mechanically inclined but not an idiot. Do I need to change the chip? Help is appreciated.

I just installed a Original Drummer on my 07 XB12Ss Lightning Long and it is the best. Kevin Drum does an excellent job. To answer your questions you will not need the race ecm, Kevin recommends that you may run the stock ecm. I did change the filter to a K&N ($50) and you can either leave the servo motor on top of the filter or get an emulator ($45)and then remove the servo motor. If you do not get the emulator and take off the servo motor it will trigger a check engine light. The servo motor is useless once you install a Drummer and I would recommend the emulator so you can remove the servo and all the wiring that goes with it. Good Luck and if you need more info call Kevin at Drummer he will talk to you as much as you want and is the best at customer service. He called me to let me know that my pipe was on its way and it was at my home in 2 days. It will look, sound and perform 100% better in my opinion then the stock pipe.
