Allllllrightythen! What is the best way to go here. I have a D&D exhaust to install on a 2005 XB12S. Looking for suggestions on best way to handle install. Do I leave the stock ECM on there, add a power commander, and just disconnect the interactive exhaust valve at the pipe. Or is a Race ECM and remove the interactive exhaust valve the way to go. With either option I will add a K&N air filter.

Thanks & Keep Your Knees to the Breeze!
Kevin

Theres a emulator you can get to keep the check engine light from coming on if you remove the exh valve.
I run race ecm with my D&D setup but I don't think you'd hurt it too bad running the stock ecm.
No need for a pc3 unless you got the extra cheese to drop to spend on a dyno tuning it for a couple extra ponies.(that opens a whole other can of worms concerning the guy doing the tuning)
20 people will probably chime in saying use the DL tuning key from Al at American Sport Bike but I really don't think thats necessary either.
My 9 runs great with just the ecm filter n pipe(except for the annoying as hell popping on decel)((which no matter what people say simply will not go away))
