Hello XB engineers,

I broke the lower part of the bottom mounting treadhole, were the shifter pivots, out of my primary cover. This leaves me with 3 options:
A: try to weld/fix the cover
B: buy a new cover (366 euro's) or get one from ebay.
C: mount the shifter in the upper hole if this hole was meant to be an alternative mounting hole. I have not yet tried this but could anyone tell me if this can be done?
thxs and best buell greetings from holland.
Bas

use the upper shift hole. many racers do that for a little more ground clearance
with no problems.

just be sure that the shifter arm and the stubby arm on the shift shaft are parallel
so the bike shifts properly. If the ends aren't parallel it will give you trouble.
