Author Message   Str8upsuburbz Posted on Thursday, November 30, 2006 - 06:42 pm:        I have a 2004 XB9S Lightning. My brake light goes on when I apply pressure to the rear brake pedal. The light does not go on when I pull the front brake lever. Any ideas on where to start looking? The service manual wasn't much help.   Tripp Posted on Thursday, November 30, 2006 - 06:53 pm:        check the wires at the switch on the handle bars, make sure it's plugged in all the way.   Captainxb Posted on Sunday, December 03, 2006 - 02:51 am:        My lever switch played up the same after only 6 months use. That was replaced under warranty though. I couldn't find any cause before I took it to the dealer. Could be a similar fault inside the switch? But check the wires first, and see if you can bridge the switch to make a connection? Good luck.
