I have 06 xb12ss, the belt looks fine , the pulleys looks fine ,bike rides fine. but the belt has become very loose ,inch of center to center play. I can slide the belt off of the rear drive pulley. I noticed it when leaving a hotel one morning on the way to deals gap. The bike was idling and i saw the belt flopping around. Rode it hard all day at the dragon, didn't skip a beat. bike has 17000mi. Noticed the loose belt at 14000mi. Anyone else notice there belts getting sloppy?

I have the same thing on my 06 12Ss, but not quite as bad. I don't think the belt will slide off my sprocket, but I can spin the idler pulley with a little resistance. Mine only has 8500 miles and noticed it after a 125 mile day in 28 degree temps and 30-40 mph winds. I didn't get to go have it looked at with the dealer yet.

The dealer said it was in spec and never needs serviced. I guess we'll see what it does.
