One leaks so, so other than new fork oil and seals what else do i need to change out? And any recomendations as to fork oil? for spirited riding on a heavy bike. | ||

You won't know for sure until you open them up. The guide bushings and/or slide bushings may be wiped, but you'll know when you get them open. There are some pictures of what a wiped bushing looks like in the thread here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=4062&post=731930#POST731930, as well as some tips on driving the seals with PVC pipe. Use a heat gun (or very hot hair dryer) to heat the forks around the end where the guide bushing is and you'll traumatize the guide bushing much less upon removal. Yea, a bit. General procedures are all the same, but the parts are different. There are no dust seals on the WP, you only need the oil seals. Same things on the bushings, you need to see them first to see if you need to replace them, but the items are a bit pricier than the same showa parts. There is a red cap on the top of the slider tube that is known to crack upon disassembly that isn't in the Showa forks.
