I'm pulling my stator, and the manual instructions aren't cutting it.

I'm no injuneer, but I am confident that the stator connector is too large to fit through the hole in the primary case.

The rubber grommet came out easily, but the plastic connector is too large to go through the hole. I do not have the special tools to remove the wires from the connector, and don't want to cut wires unless I have to.

My bike is a 2003 XB9.

Any help would be appreciated.

I've never heard of any problem with this. I'd think the connector would go through the hole with some finesse. I've changed 'em on tubers with no issue.
