Does anyone know where I can get just the shift lever from a set of Sato rearsets for '04 XB12R. I lost the entire shift lever when pivot bolt fell out as a result of not using locktite on initial installation. I'd rather not buy the entire $625 set again for just one lever.

Installed the Sato Rearsets last year after a minor drop that snapped my shift lever & not much else. The pegs are fairly aggressisve but easy to change out so I typically keep the whole kit off the bike, but the shift lever is very nice w/ bearings at the pivot & such. Unfortunately I failed to use locktite when installing it so the pivot point bolt came out & I lost the entire shift lever.

Got it! Al & the folks out at American Sport Bike are awesome, top notch personal service.

They of course don't list just the Sato shift lever by itself on the website. So being on the east coast I placed an order for a lesser shifter before I left for work & long before they opened this morning. Then I called them from work w/ my order number & explained my situation. Al said that he'd do some calling to Sato but thought that he could order just the lever from Sato & send me one from one of his kits in the meantime. So when they called me back this evening they had found just the shifter components I needed & had them ready to go in the mail. They just needed me to say go ahead, ship it & charge it. None of the lesser shifter parts were ever packaged for shipment & exactly what I need is on the way.

So in short Al & the folks at American Sport Bike put in the extra effort on absolutely no notice & thanks to UPS overnight service I should be back on the road for this weekend. Pretty damn good for being on the opposite side of the country & having such large & complete selection of Buell brand & aftermarket parts.

Best online store i've ever dealt with; period
