Whos got their .02 about these tires, I'm looking to replace my Sportec M3's over the winter, They are a good tire, but for all the hype I'm not as impressed as i thought i would be for what i paid for them, Good Grip, Wet grip is OK, still have to put a good bit of pressure on the inside bar to maintain line in a corner. Advice? Ideas? Let me hear em' Thanks

I have Qualifiers on my XB12R and Avon Venoms on my M2. I like each for their respective bike. I have 4K miles on my Qualifiers and they still look fresh. I do a lot of rainy weather riding - they do great. I still take it easy in the rain. The Avon's don't do as well in the rain (rear tire especially). But I like the Avons for wheelies : )

I put Qualifiers on my FJR for track days. They work real well, stick great, take a lot to overheat and come back in shape fast. They did well in the rain, but not as good as Z6s.

Haven't tried the M3's yet. LOVE the Sportec M1's though. I'm surprised at your comment regarding wet grip, though. The M1's are the best wet weather tires I've ever used and it's hard to believe Metzeler would go backwards in that area, unless it was to improve dry weather grip. I bought the M1's because of the big price cut when the M3's came out (and I'd used them before on my M2 Cyclone).

I just burned thru my first set of Qualifiers.

Only got 3000 miles on them.

I got 4500 on my Pilot Powers on my XB9.

I don't do any burn outs or that kind of thing, so I was a bit disappointed in the mileage.

I wish. I got 1400 miles out of my qualifiers. I'm movin on to the diablo stradas. I don't do any burnouts, but I do ride hard here and there.. Still. 1400 miles? Give me a break. They would be and excellent track day tyre. But that's about it.

I should mention that its just the rear that's about shot. I've been runnin em at a higher psi just try and lengthen the life of them, but to no avail. My front looks pretty good. Plus I haven't ridin 2 up on this set, either. So, overall, I love the feel and grip and performance. The life of the tyres... Suck.

I would have been happy with 3000 miles. I would have been thrilled, actually. But, nope.
