I need to set up the suspension for the first time. Does the luggage have to be removed from the bike? If not how much weight should I figure in to the equation?

I'd guesstimate your typical riding day. For me...I add in maybe carrying 20-30 lbs extra. (Not counting what I am carrying extra around the waist already plus gear)

Set up the bike for the scenario it will be ridden. That includes all luggage and cargo plus your own gear too.

Thanks All,

Took me a little bit to figure out how to actually do this. Especially the rear preload as the directions are not to clear. A clockwise or counter clockwise would have been nice.
The difference in handling and overall ride quality is 100% improved though. When I rode it home the other day I was'nt to happy with the ride, but after I did the setup I glad I got this bike. It is awesome.
