so far after 60 miles..... i love the bike.I have a Few questions though. Do they always vibrate a bit at idle? I have never had a v twin before. The turn signals sort of shake back and forth while idling. Also is the amount heat created by the motor normal? When i stop at a light i notice it gets a bit warm around the front of the seat. Im used to riding 250-600cc jap bikes. never felt that much heat. But man what a great bike. what a great switch. |

it will cool down after a few thousand miles. but it can still get quite hot with a lot of slow speed riding. I always keep the rpm over 2,000 below that is not very smooth and yes at idle it shakes I have to take a 9r for a test ride some day. it crossed my mind a few times to trade in the 04 12s for a 9r or s |

Hi CPA, I have a 12R, and compared to other big pots I think the vibration at idle is minimal. The motor is pretty well balanced. Won't take long and you won't notice. |
