I just finished installing my Jet-Hot headers and went out for a test ride. About 3 miles and everything went dead. Had it towed home and found the battery fuse blown. I expect that something could have happened when I rotated the engine. The battery fuse was only 15 amp (as came from the factory/dealer). Could it be that this was just to small? I'm on my way out to get fuses, but could use some guidance. | ||

Old -- I know very little about XB series bikes, but never, and I mean NEVER go up a fuse size in a circuit without checking all the draw on it, scoping the wire size, and doing the math -- unless, of course, it's really really cold and you want to burn your bike to stay warm | ||

The manual and the fuse cover call for a 30 amp fuse. | ||

I've checked everything that I can think of from the engine rotate and the fuse hasn't blown and I don't see any exposed wiring. I guess I'll go out and test ride. I'm hoping that the 15 amp fuse instead of the 30 amp was the problem. |
