Hello,

I've perused the BadWeB for awhile and enjoyed it, but only recently registered so this is my first post. I'm thinking of installing a Drummer (original style) and any necessary mods to make it work right, but don't want to kill my current average mpg of 52. The Buell guy at my dealership says the mpg will drop initially then return
to previous levels. Can anyone confirm this claim? What sort of mpg are other folks running Drummers getting?

Thanks!

Hmm... I seem to be the only one concerned about miles per gallon on the XB9SL with the Drummer exhaust. So I got one. Here's the report: Lowest mpg with stock set-up was 48 mpg. Highest mpg with stock set-up was 60. Lowest mpg with Drummer and stock ECM and air cleaner was 52 mpg. Highest mpg with Drummer and stock ECM and air cleaner so far is 57 mpg. Last mpg with stock set-up before changing to the Drummer was 52. Many thanks to Kevin at KD Fab and Paul at Gainesville Harley Davidson for their advice and input. Bottom line is on an XB9, Drummer rules! All you XB9ers that haven't gotten a Drummer yet, go get one. The bike feels faster, seems to have more torque, sounds ferocious, and gets good mileage. DRUMMER DRUMMER DRUMMER!

I'm also thinking about the Drummer for my 12X. My only real concern is that I don't want to be seriously loud. What's the opinion on how much louder than stock might the Drummer be?
