I was having the check engine light come on once in a while. I would shut off the bike and it would be ok for several days. I took bike in for 5000 mile tune and asked dealer to check it. They have had it for a week. Original computer reading showed EOM should be (wrong on letters) replaced and it was, now computer still indicates fuel pump problem it won't shut off properly. It requires a pressure test and the dealer doesn't have the tool it is on 2 month backorder. Any one have any suggestion on how I can get my bike up and running. I can take the bike but will have to pay for time because the warranty work was not completed. Help

Fred, use the info in THIS thread to extract the trouble code(s) from your ecm, then post your findings back here so we can have something to start with. Your data link plug is probably under your seat. You don't need any tools other than perhaps a piece of wire with alligator clips or anything you can use to cross a circuit.

Sorry for delay in response but bike was in the dealer for help. The bike is an XB9 so found the computer link under the seat. This was a three week ordeal. The code indicated was 33 so the dealer replaced the EOM computer after two calls to Buell that tokk 2 days per each for return calls. The bike still would not run correctly so the next step was a fuel pressure test. the dealer did not have the tester so I took the bike to another dealer. They performed the pressure test and after calling Buell twice they replaced the fuel pump. I now have the bike and it seems to be running fine. The only problem I now have is that when the bike is in neutral or clutch pulled in and you rev it up there is a slow response to throttle a couple of coughs and then it will rev up. The problem does not occur when under load or moving. Is this a buell problem or an adjustment problem?
