2000 M2

I keep hitting a false neutral when upshifting to 2nd(tranny makes ugly rattling noises 'til I roll off then on more gently), but it seems to happen if I lift too much (not a hard shift just more movement of my foot). Also have false neut if not enough lift on that 1st-2nd gear shift.

The other morning I rolled on throttle after upshifting to third gear and the engine spun up like it was in neutral, not even the clackity noise I've been getting with my 2nd gear false neutrals.

Just over 18K miles on the bike, I don't do wheelies but do accelerate hard (from a stop) on occasion.

Do you think my clutch is gone? Seems premature.

I've been running synth for the last 10K miles I think, maybe longer. EZ shift installed last fall. Modified updated X1 shifter - shortened lever for proper reach - should require more effort, not less, right?

An inspection my be in order to see if your detent wheel has cocked over on the shift pins. This is will give you a chance to readjust your shift pawl, and maybe see what's going on in the trans.

AH, so probably not time for me to "need" to put in the Baker drum with a new clutch, or will that still be pending my inspection?

Didn't you just put that in recently?
