Since I have replaced my stock muffler, I have to use a steering stem lift for changing tires, etc.
I want to check / adjust my steering head bearing, and I'm thinking that normally the forks hang from the frame, when checking them, and with this type of stand the triple tree / forks are supported.

Opinions? Maybe I'm making something out of nothing

I can see your concern. What is prompting you to check/adjust your steering head bearing? Suggest if you have no problems then strongly suggest you leave it be. If you have possible steering head related problem, then yes, suggest you remove muffler in order to verify/check proper steering head bearing preload. Zat make sense? : )
