I have a M2 with a single speed-o and no tach and I was wondering if I could use a speed-o tach combo of a different buell? It would be nice to have a tach. what year and model would work if at all possible and how hard is the install. Thanks.

The factory offers a tach kit (part number Z11042.L) for the M2 that includes everything needed including the dual instrument bezel.

My tach looks and works wonderful, I wouldn't want one of the mini-tachs, I like big, easy to see, and matching the speedo in looks.

It was about $150, check with DaveS at Appleton H-D on the sponsor's page.

Thanks for your concern. I've been a little busy but dropping in and reading the posts. Haven't had much to say but have been getting a little riding in.

I've been looking at used "geezer glide" clones too. Part of my plan to move on to a cruiser. Plan is to spend about a year on something that seems about right and then nail it down to a longer term keeper next year.

Jack,

If I can be of any assistance, don't really know how, feel free to get in touch. I know very little about the metric cruisers, but I've had at least one of all the HD geezer glides and would be glad to give you my impressions/experiences.

Thanks Greg, I just PM'd you. Reply to me at jacker at midmaine dot com and we can get out of the moderately clumsy PM thing.
