I have bought an Alto clutch on ebay. This was the description: "Carbonite Hi-Performance PowerPack Kits
Contains 10 Carbonite Frictions & 9 KoleneŽ Steels. 10% Extra Surface Area for greater holding power
Made with 3M CARBON based friction material to withstand higher coefficients of friction and higher temperatures than any other product available
KOLENEŽ MELONITEŽ treated steels for enhanced performance, better engagement, longer life and cooler running."
Well, my experience is not so good. The clutch won't engage before the lever is almost in outer position, and it makes a whistling sound when it starts to "grab". But worst of all, it slips under hard acceleration. It was specified dexron III oil, so I used Valvoline max-life ATF-oil. Somebody who got a clue about this?

Just started to have a similar problem. Installed the Alto Carbonite clutch in my xb12x after the HD clutch fried. The Alto clutch only lasted about 2k miles!!! Not sure why. Seems my bike is burning up the atf fluid. Not sure why.

something must be wrong with both of these. I run Alto carbonite plates in my LSR bike and it is the only thing I have found that works. I don't know what may be wrong. Maybe the adjustment at the throw out bearing. It needs to be a little loose to keep the clutch from slipping a little all the time.
