I got stuck in traffic the other day and the Uly was running pretty hot so I turned off the engine and let her cool down. The fan finally went off and the traffic started to move again so I started the engine and had to wait until the ET reached 428 F before the fan would restart. I have an idea! What if I connected a circuit to pin 9 on the grey ECM connector through a push button switch then through a 200 ohm resister and then to ground. I could then start the fan by simply pushing the button for a second and then the ECM would think the engine was hot enough for the fan to turn on without waiting for 428 F. I know the fan would only continue to run if the engine temperature was above 356 F. Does anyone see any potential problems with my idea?
