I went to cycle gear today and I bought a pair of Frank Thomas boots... They have pretty good return policy if you try and don't like it within thirty days you can exchange it... They do that with helmets too...

The last pair of Motorcycle specific boots I had were for MX when I was a teen... I've always had good boots being a bit more concerned with safety after my father Inlaw breaking his leg and being in traction with the bars for three months last year.. Should I go with the higher pair like my father In law is pushing me too..

Orthopedic Surgen said most of his injury could have been avoid had been wearing high boots..

Also is me does it seem the boots seem a bit narrow...

These are the boots I bought?



I'm kinda wondering if I should got this pair? I can still switch

I just took them out for a late night ride.. Man I should made this switch a long time ago... What a difference compared to your cruiser type boots......

Now I wonder stay with these or get the higher pair..

The short length boot is more akin to a fashion boot worn in the paddock. Believed styled from racing drivers boots and adapted for pit \ paddock use by motorcycle riders for comfort and style.

High boots are an absolute necessity if safety is a primary concern. Paddock boots offer foot protection at best.

Look for high abrasion resistance around the toes, heel and ankle area, and a high crush resistance across the sole. High impact resistance should feature on the outside edge of the foot, all around the ankle \ heel area, and the full frontal area of the shin.

For the best look at Daytona Security or similar. These are race boots with an inner hard sock made of kevlar.

Go for the taller boot. If you do fall over you'll be glad you did.

I ended up buying a pair of Sidi's I ordered them through Cycle Gear which got them through moto nation.. I've had a little over two weeks now love them..





You can get Sidi boots Spidi gear direct off the motonation website.. They have stuff on sale too www.motonation.com


This boot has inner support thing going on in the toe area and where the slider would be... I didn't want a race boot but I did want some of the features of a race boot minus the slider..
