How many different front shock mounts are there? What exactly are the differences? Any idea what the PN's are?

I have 1999 X1 with a 16.5" shock that I want to lower. I tried the mount for the very short shock, but the rear tire hits the oil tank. Is the M2L shock mount in between?

Thanks,
Jeff

There are two that I know of. Pretty sure the difference in the M2 Low's rear suspension is in the shock itself, not the mount since the shock has reduced travel compared to the non-lowered bikes. I could be mistaken; it could be that mount and shock are different.
