If I run the Dyna S in a '99-'01 M2, will the rest of the electrics on the bike work? The D/S ignition is comparable to points in that it connects to nothing except the coils and the battery via the key switch.

I know that a lot of the electrics are connected to the ECM, so what will happen if I install an ignition that bypasses the ECM? I'm wondering about the big things, like the starter, running lights, turn signals, speedometer. Little things like idiot lights I don't really care about. I'm also wondering if the regulator will work normally.

So, has anyone ever tried the Dyna S or points in a carbureted Buell?
