My 2003 XB9SL has a problem...shes missing real bad under load starting after 3500 RPM. Its fine if Im accelerating mildy all the way up to the redline, but as soon as i matt it above 3500 it gets bad. This just recently started happening. My guess is fuel pressure regualtor/fuel pump issue, considering the damn thing screams when I turn the key on, but I would like some other insight. Thanks guys.

There was a problem with spark plug wires rubbing through, if i remember correctly. Might want to take a look at those as well.

Check TPS wiring and fuel injector. Do you get any error codes from the ECM?

Blake, is it possible a bad head temp sensor or O2 sensor could be making it do this? Thanks again man...I dont have diagnostic tool for the ecm, but the light hasnt come on at all, even while its skipping. Thanks.

Hard to tell. O2 sensor maybe. I doubt the head temp sensor though. Still suggest checking TPS wiring and TPS and fuel injection/pressure.

Wait a minute. A fouled spark plug would produce those exact symtoms. Check the plugs!

same thing happened to me i have a 2005 xb9sx and the wires running from the righthand side of the ecm rubbed through on the battery and it would buck under load . check the wires . the dealer aso replaced my fuel pump even though it checked'good'. good luck
