Author Message   Stretchman Posted on Thursday, April 20, 2006 - 10:51 am:        I need to ask a couple of stupid questions. I just got my bike out of service yesterday, and the front brake light switch isn't actuating the light. The rear works, so I am guessing that it is the switch. Now the stupid qs. IS the switch normally open, and closes when you depress the circuit, or does it use a relay, and open the circuit? Since there are 2 lights on the same circuit, I am not sure, and do not have the schematic. Is it a plug in installation? The reason I am asking this is that the bike fell over in a parking lot, and now has asphalt embedded where the allen head goes to loosen the bar ends. Meaning it may be tough to get the grip off. TIA. Stretch   Prismman Posted on Saturday, April 22, 2006 - 08:29 am:        I had something similar happen after a tune up. The service tech tightened the screw that holds the switch in place. This screw needs to be backed out about 1 1/2 turns to allow the switch to travel open and and closed. Once I got the screw backed out the switch worked properly.   Wsplrll Posted on Sunday, October 01, 2006 - 05:45 pm:        Does anyone know where this screw is? I am assuming this might be the problem I am having since the brake light is working for the rear but not the front. ???????
