I ordered the Joe Rocket Ballistic 5.0 Pants as well as the Joe Rocket Velocity Boots last week,I am awaiting the arrival of them. I purchased them on my confidence in JR, and I am sure I will not be disappointed, but I am looking for owners comments and reviews on the items.
Let me know what you think/thought of them.

I have a pair of the 5.0 pants.
They're great in cold to cool weather. The insulation that runs from the knees up isn't removable so they're not so cool (pun intended) in the warmer weather.
When it's hot out I just wear jeans or a pair of thick canvas pants. On the cold morning commutes of fall & winter however, the 5.0 pants are an absolute must.

Alright, thanks. I just received my pants and shoes in the mail today.

For anyone interested - the shoes fit me great. The only downside is that it's a little difficult to get your foot into them. The "flap" over where the laces WOULD BE doesn't completely move aside, it just folds over a tad bit. Besides that they fit me very great, I feel very nimble and yet protected in them.

The pants... I guess the size I ordered might be a size too large, but I don't feel like waiting soo long to get it resized for me. The armor fits me in the right places, just a little long, and a little loose ( before adjusting ). The waist provides ample adjusting options, I'd say +/- 4''. The pockets seem alright, the lining seemed like it would like to stick to everything, but hey w/e.

Regardless of the tiny flaws I found I think the products are overall satisfying!

Boots cover the ankle area well?

Walking in them? Standing?

I'll re-evaluate when I get off duty. I'll take a pic so you can see how much coverage they offer.

Ignore my very white legs.... I am wearing ankle socks... which come an inch or two above my anke.

Obviously not the support of a full boot, but I didn't want a boot, I wanted something very light-weight. Which this is, they feel lighter and more attached to my foot then my Addidas. If you want more pics let me know.

This is all the further it opens for you to cram your foot in, but it fits VERY VERY GOOD.

Kyle Brine,

I have been looking for these boots and I have no luck finding a place where they sell them. Can you please help me locate a pair? May name is Jay and my email address is jaylo2211@yahoo.com or call me at 803-479-6150.

Thank you.
