OK, I installed the race kit and here is a new graph. Looks like I gained a little down low, lost a little in the middle and then gained again in higher RPMs. Also, I appear to be running a little richer (which I'm happy about).

Dynorun.001=Stock ECM, Stock Filter, and Special Ops Tailgunner pipe.
Dynorun.004=Race ECM, Race Filter, and Race exhaust.

Let us know how your gas milage changes after this (also, if your pinging problem gets better). Also, how does the race exhaust sound?

I'll track my mileage with my next fill-up. As for sound, somewhat muted compared to the Special Ops Tailgunner I took off. Not a bad sounding pipe though.

Too bad the torque and HP loss is right where most people run the Uly at between 3000rpm and 4500 rpm. I don't think I would care for that setup at all. Had the same thing with the Drummer. There was a drop out in the middle. I have to say though that I didn't change the ECM but I found the Drummer felt better overall but was a little too noisy for me.

You don't notice it. Actually, by seat of the pants, it pulls smoother everywhere. The sound out of the race exhaust is not as loud as the Special Ops pipe.

I know what you are saying but the increase in loudness has a big tendencey to make us fell like we are going faster. I had the Drummer on my bike for 9 days and I swore it was better until I had the thing dynoed. I got about 3 ft lbs of torque at one rpm and less where I wanted it. I still would swear it was a lot more. I removed it and put the stock one back on.

When then this is working backwards...my race pipe is quieter than the Special Ops was and it "feels" smoother. I don't think it has a thing to do with either pipe...I believe it has to do with the Race ECM delivering smoother power and the fact that the torque is actually higher between 2000 and 3000 rpms. Once I'm above 3K and accelerating the rpms are coming up so fast that you don't notice any dip or flat spot.

One more thing - when I installed the Race ECM, I did a TPS reset. However, I never reset the AFV. I was thinking I should probably do this. Although from what I understand the bike needs to be run above 3500rpm's for a good 10 minutes to "re-learn". That is tough to do in the area I live in...maybe I'll take the laptop with me and reset it right before jumping on the freeway this weekend.
