Someone suggested that I pull the headlight fuse prior to taping over the lights for a track day. I pulled the fuse indicated in the service manual.. and lo and behold, the headlight still came on when I turned the key and powered up the bike. So.. which one is it? I know it's a 15amp and I pulled each one, and the light still came one.

So what am I doing wrong? Or is there some hidden fuse that they don't talk about in the book?

Thanks for any help someone can give me on this.

Guess there are no guesses huh? OK, I'll have to try and pull the bulb I guess..

DUH I'm So Stupeed!

Ok, brain finally engaged. Instead of pulling the bulb, I just pulled the wire from the harness and taped it to the side of the connector (that way I won't loose it).

Problem solved. Headlight is off. And I don't have to worry about baking tape onto the lens while I'm at a track day.

I know, you guys were waiting for me to finally engage brain and realize how EASY this really is...
