Well I have put 300 miles on the Conti's now and have to say wow! I have been riding on cold roads with some wetness here and there.... They are awesome! I ran up my favorite road tonight at asshat speeds nearly dragging a knee and they performed so well I can't believe it. They beaded up a bit but not to much. In fact they hardly look like I ran them hard at all. I never felt insecure on them and think that they all in all did better than the battleaxe bt-14's I have been running. I look forward to running them on a hot day as I am sure they will make me a very happy man. Tracking was awesome and turn-in was outrageous, smooth, predictable and running like they were on a rail. Best tire I have tried yet by far.

Only 12K? LOL My tire bill last year was $2,000 with no track days. If these go only 6,000 that will be worth nearly three sets of $300.00 tires. Hmmm maybe I will be able to afford that sensor reset and some new leathers after all................

These are going to be my next tire. Has anybody tried this tire in a 180 on the back yet?
I have PM wheels and am thinking about going with the 180.....
Thanks for the review!

I am on my second set and I love these tires. I am still burning two rears to one front ratio, but they are really long lasting...for + or - $200 to my door. I am installing and balancing my own tires now, in my attempt to be as independent as possible. I like the grip too...and the pattern is cool too.

Would you riders that is geting that hi milage tell me what type of road you are rideing on and what is your average speed, and what distance you average per ride. I tried 2 rears and was only able to get 2500 miles out of each one when the cord was showing. I am useing way to many tires I need more milage. I ride most on east Tex. asphalt. 100 to 200 mile rides. Average speed 70 to 90 M P H with short burst. above 90. Cowboy

Cowboy did you only get 2,500 miles out of the Road attacks or some other tire?

I run mostly twistys with very little highway time. I run 75mph to 85mph turns and seldom go over 80mph on the freeway. Freeways suck.

One road attack, one force I found no difference in them. These roads are made with crushed stone and have some abrasive serface. as you can run a long way between stops in rual Tex. I do tend to push them pretty hard. I would like for Blake to way in on this as he is very familer with the type of rideing I do. As I am retired it is very common for me to 1000mi to 1500 mi. per week. I try to use the V-Rod a equal amount. and I am not doing much better with it eather.(6000 to 7000 mi. on metzler on V-Rod) metzler on Buell approx (4000 to 5000)mi. I dont have much more than that to add. Cowboy

Cowboy, Sounds like you are getting the tires quite hot. I have noticed with most tires extended speeds over 75mph tears them up quite a bit quicker. Sounds like you need to slow down!

Cowboy I wish I could help you out. There are not to many sport bike tires I have found that are supposed to outlast the road attacks and still stick to the road. The center tread depth is really deep on the conti's. You may be stuck with wearing tires out. Maybe you should try to buy a years worth of tires at a time, maybe become a distributer.........

Good luck!

Cowboy, what is the wear pattern on your tires? I assume you are talking about the cords showing in the center of the tire, correct? How much tread is left on the sides?

I always wear my tires out in the center because I cannot stay on curves all the time. Shucks, the gov'ment is spending all of our tax dollars trying to straighten out them curves in KY. Forgive them Father, they know not what they are doing.

The Contis may not have more durable rubber than some of the other Sport Touring tires out there, but the tread groves are deep, really deep. Mileage will vary depending on riding styles...jack rabbit starts are rough on them...so are 88's.

COWBOY-what pressure are you running in these tires?
EVERYONE ELSE-I recieved a letter from the president of Continental North America. It basically said that the rear should be run at 42-44 lbs of pressure, and the front at 36-38. Because of the belts inside the center of the tire the higher pressure helps to cool the rubber faster. If you have tried these tires you know that warm up is not a problem. This was based on their racer's research. He said the tire can safely be run at lower pressure's, but for longevity it should be at set rate's.
As soonas I get the video put up, you'll be able to see my Conti's in action. Had a great time at MBIII, never doubted the RA's ability when diving into a 15-20 MPH curve at 55-60 and up.(On wet roads! But I will need to replace them now!!!

I now have 1,000+ miles on my Road Attacks. I can not believe these tires, pure magic. I have run the back tire all the way to the edges and they run like they are on rails. They also don't seem to wear! I still have the "Conti" in the tread pattern. Any of the other tires I have run looked near their half life after the way I have been riding. These don't look even close to one tenth. Best darn 200 dollars I have ever spent on my Buell. I am going to try the higher pressures though as I have been running 38/36. Thanks for the heads up.

I ever run into one of the guys from Conti and I am buying him lunch!

I am a *plus sized* rider, and I usually run all my rears at 40-42, and the fronts at 38-40.
I seem to get better mileage that way, and handling is not compromised in any way. I also do a lot of 2 up riding, and the extra air helps with handling when loaded and 2 up.
Running the recommended pressures may be great for someone south of 200 pounds, but I find running the higher pressures has increased my tire life, and made 2 up riding more pleasurable. (now if the dang intercom will break, I can have some peace and quiet too)

85 miles on the new Conti's, very happy with the much improved steering response. I've been playing on the freeway ramps and up the canyon, definitely better feel and grip than the D204/205 combo I switched from. I am not amazed but am very pleased with the way these tires work so far. I will be thrilled if they last the 8k miles canyon chasers predicted.
