Having trouble fine tuning my bike.. Battery is good, replaced coil wire & plug. Gets good gas. Checked spark out of the bike, works fine. Only way I have got to start was with the old plug, with the gap less than .015, it will run but rough and pops as soon as I get up in RPMS or 2nd gear runs fine. When I put in the plug with the proper gap it will not even sputter. Don't understand what is going on. What else could I check. Any ideas would be great!}

I sent you an email, but, check your battery (it's like 3 years old if it's the original), static time the bike, and check for carb shellac.

Also check ground strap connections and main wiring connections from battery. Try another new spark plug. Check for intake seal leakage which would only tend to affect low speed and low throttle opening running.

Thanks... Bike is still running lean... Was bang-in my head against the wall.. Had to finally take her to the shop... well see... I did get a new plug, wire, intake seal, compression test, timing, re jetted the carb, cleaned the carb, drained & replaced all fluids, battery, replaced the Auto enrich... Just kept going and ran out of things to check.
Of course it was the first 2 sunny days in weeks and she had to go to the shop, but plenty of good riding weather to come! Any other suggestions are welcome!
