Sounds like a fuel supply problem. Is there gas in the tank? Did you try switching to reserve? Not trying to be a smart alec, but in the heat of the moment it's easy to overlook the obvious. Next I would disconnect the fuel line(s) and make sure it is flowing to the carb(s). If thats OK, then check the float bowl(s)for debris, etc. Next I would check for intake leaks. Does it have a rubber boot between the carb and intake manifold? Seals on the intake manifold?

I am assuming this just started happening and you didn't do anything to cause it in the first place
Good Luck.

How long has it been since (your last confession... no, sorry, wrong forum : )) the bike was run last? If it's been a month or more, most likely the gasoline started to go bad and clogged the idle jet.

Fixing that is easy. Open the float bowl, find the idle jet, remove it and clean with carb cleaner until the tiny hole is unclogged and put it back together.
