hey guys, I know this sounds like a newb question and well, the question fits the owners description! hehe Anyway, I'm tracking a short in the headlight and am stuck taking off the chrome ring around the headlight -2k X1 Race Stripe. I loosened the screw at the btm of the ring but it's like it's glued to the housing. I lightly tried using a screw driver to pry it away from the housing but I didn't want to push too hard and dent/scratch it. Any help is appreciated. | ||

did you ever get this ring off the headlight ? i ran into a strange headlight short in the wires on my 01-X1, and my ring came off easily with a little prying from a screwdriver. let me know what kind of short you had, and if/how you fixed it. thanks. |
